Tour Date: Wednesday 16th September
About this Event
“Speed bonnie boat, like a bird on the wing. Onward! The sailors cry.” Those are the words of the traditional folk tune, ‘The Skye Boat Song’.
Even though you can nip across from the mainland via a bridge these days, there is still nothing more romantic than hopping on a ferry and sailing across the sea. Join me as we step off the ferry and explore the Sleat Peninsula, including Armadale Castle home to Clan Macdonald.
Join professional guide, Andrew Baxter, as we discover some off-the-beaten-path places, hear old folk tales and take in the beautiful landscape of southern Skye.
This is the first tour in a four-part series. Guests are welcome to join the series at any point, as each tour is stand alone. If you are buying a ticket before 16th September you might like to book tickets for the whole series and receive a 20% discount. Each tour then only costs £6.40 rather than the full price of £8.
Other tours in the programme are:
— Isle of Skye – Myths and Legends
— Eilean Donan – and around about
